Access to clean drinking water remains a dream for millions

Our vision is to provide improved drinking water to better the quality of life of people living in rural areas of developing countries.

The Water Crisis

The water crisis is massive, and clean water plays a crucial role in combating poverty. But it is possible to help a rural community desperately in need by sponsoring a water supply.

Proving Our

Impact

Our Work Seeks to Drive Development

DONOR SATISFACTION

Our grassroots CBO partners listen to their communities' needs which means we match our donors to the highest priority water scarcity communities.

ACCESSIBLE LOCATION

Every well is located within 300mtrs from most village households saving recipients time on water collection and more time for economic growth.

PROMPT ACTION

We address the urgency of clean, safe water for the communities we serve.  Within 1 month of your donation, thousands of people will have access to safe water - perhaps for the first time in their lives.

SUSTAINABLE RURAL DEVELOPMENT

A hand up, not a handout. Community recipients are given complete ownership of their water resource and provided comprehensive training on bore management.

875 village residents now have a new clean safe drilled water well. Mrs. Venkatamma says: "Before the installation of this bore, I was very stressed because I had to prioritize water collection with attending work on time. Now I can attend work on time without the pressure and bring more money home for my family. This hand pump give the entire community plenty of water at all times."

Salang, a village in the mid mountain region of Nepal lost its water source after the devastating 2015 earthquake. The villagers, mostly women and female children often queued for hours each day to fetch their daily water needs after trekking many kilometres uphil. BridgIT provided a gravity fed water system to a secondary school and various village households points. A total of 527 people now have access to a safe drinking water supply

If this new borehole had not been installed, we would have been in a crisis. We were suffering great hardships fetching water many km's away, especially the women. The new hand pump means our situation is much easier as we can now get sufficient safe drinking water at our door steps. We assure you that we will maintain the borehole perfectly. The health worker educated us how to keep safe water, cleaning hands and our environment clean and tidy. Now our children are attending school on time.

Our Covid-19 Response - Safe Water for Rural Ugandan Schools Program

A Ugandan newspaper reported that 53% of rural schools might not re-open due to the pandemic. BridgIT restored the hope of thousands of children in rural Ugandan schools in 2020 and 2021 by providing wells into rural schools allowing them to re-open.  Without access to water, education is almost impossible.
