Wendy Tisdell OAM
Wendy was inspired to start BridgIT Water Foundation after volunteering in Jamaica in 2008. With over 25 years experience as the Financial & Operations Director of a family business, Prime Pump Co. Pty Ltd, switching her hand to directing a non-profit organisation just seemed logical.
Wendy has responsibility for the planning, organizing, marketing, finance and field work of the organisation. In other words, all your emails go to her. In 2015, Wendy was awarded the prestigious Order of Australia medal in recognition for outstanding contributions to Australia's International Aid.
Graham has worked for many years in the multi-media field and as such his extensive experience makes him the ideal Marketing Manager for BridgIT Water Foundation.
Specifically, Graham acts as the IT and Digital Marketing consultant for BridgIT.
Graham has a passion for helping people and is happy to put his experience to good use to aid those less fortunate than himself.
It is also a bonus that he's constantly smiling and laughs at Mark's dad jokes.
Mark has more than 25 years experience as the Technical & Projects Director of Prime Pump Co. Pty Ltd. He has extensive experience in pumping systems, fluid movement, water collection and storage systems and water treatment systems. It only makes sense that with a resume like that, his technical expertise is used to aid the design and engineering of BridgIT Water projects.
Not only does Mark bring his water engineering expertise to the team, but he also spices things up with lame Dad jokes.
Bas had been working in the NFP sector for approximately 5 years. He brings his experience of organising fundraisers and project management to roll out some wonderful projects.
Bas has experience in South Africa in counselling centres and women's empowerment projects.
He intends to listen to the needs of the communities in focus and to help facilitate self-sustainability.
It is also a bonus that he has a wonderful sense of humour and keeps us all laughing.
Jo is an original member of BridgIT Water. She has been with the organisation from its inception in 2009 and has travelled to Tanzania to work on a water project and understands the Foundations projects in a hands-on way.
With 11 years experience as a Chartered Accountant in Public Practice and more recently as the Finance Manager for Domino's Pizza Enterprises, makes her an asset to the Foundation. Jo has a strong technical background in financial reporting and tax, allowing her to make informed financial decisions and oversee financial management of BridgIT.
Sue brings a wealth of experience and expertise to BridgIT in the community and human services areas. Sue has worked in the public and private sectors in many parts of Australia and overseas.
Sue is an experienced urban and social planner with many years of experience in urban and social planning in various levels of the commonwealth, state and local government, managing and developing large and small scale projects.
Sue believes it is crucial to listen to people who are being helped and, wherever possible, involve them in the process. Failure to do so often results in products or outcomes that do not meet people's real needs.
Haarlen is an Electrical Fitter by trade and has many years experience in his field. His experience makes him the perfect Electrical Advisor. His skills as an electrician have been used in the design and implementation of various water system in Africa and the Americas.
He has been a part of several BridgIT projects and has been with the Foundation since day dot. His enthusiasm and technical understanding allow him to offer advice on electrical systems and designs. His beard is also pretty impressive.
Fund Development USA
Mel is a caring and generous person who loves helping people. She has alot of experience in administration roles, specifically those related to finances and book keeping.
With a strong understanding of social media and digital marketing, she is in charge of the BridgIT Water social media. She also handles all the general administration and coordination for financial information for our financial controller.
She is a busy little bee in the Foundation and her administration expertise is crucial.
Sue is a Primary School teacher with over 20 years experience. Her communication skills and her expertise in talking to children, school administration and understanding of socio-political workings of the education system is a great asset to the BridgIT team.
BridgIT works alongside schools and who better to liaise with them than a teacher. She offers advice regarding communicating to communities with regard to our education projects as she has extensive travel experience to developing countries.
Fund Development Denmark
Tom heads up BridgIT Water Foundation’s San Francisco office. His background in environmental international development work has prepared him well to advance water projects in the developing world.
Besides fundraising for projects in India, Nepal, and Ethiopia, Webber played a key policy role to help BridgIT gain membership in the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID).
Mia heads up BridgIT Water Foundation’s Copenhagen office. Her background and strength is in organisational structure.
Mia has been with BridgIT since 2011 and has volunteered on many of our international water projects. Her experience in developing countries prepare her well to be an ambassador and representative for BridgIT Water in Denmark. Mia has provided fund development for projects in Nepal, India and Tanzania.
